Beautiful Eastern Oregon. So different from wet and green Portland in the Willamette valley. It’s dry and earth-toned, very painterly and aromatic.
Rob and I joined our friends Jackie and Dan to Kah-Nee-Ta. We swam in a mineral spring-fed pool. Sat in the sun. Hiked. Watched the moon rise. Slept in a teepee. Cooked a hearty camping breakfast on the Hibachi. The beauty was otherworldly.

I’ll have to tell my husband there’s a new place I want to visit next time we’re in Oregon!
It’s not too far from Bend, which is definitely a worthy tourist destination. So beautiful out there!
