Things  I find and the things that find me.

Places I go and the places I discover within the corners of my heart and home.

The spirits of the flowers, plants, nature herself, showing me how to be.

My name is Celia. I love going on walks through the woods and mountains as much as I do through the colorful neighborhoods of Portland, where I live. Where ever I go, I look at the flowers, trees and weeds around me. They are my inspiration.

I am in graduate student of East Asian Medicine (fancy phrase for acupuncture) by day and an herbalist by night. On any given day you will find me experimenting with the plants around me, gardening, perpetually working on projects, pondering our divine existence and taking photos of the beauty which surrounds us.

I will explore the beauty, meaning and community I found around me. The things we engage with are not just mere stuff. They hold a bit of ourselves, and in finding them we find ourselves.

Fall into Place is a place where I explore the world around me and explore what makes me feel like I am home. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

  1. So excited to find your blog (through your comment on my blog)! I’ve seriously considered changing carers to acupuncturist or herbalist, but I think I’ll be sticking to my current advocacy job for the time being. I’ve also been in love with Portland since I started taking trips with my husband there – who is die hard native Portlander. Really looking forward to reading through your archives – we share a lot of passions!

    1. Thanks, Mary! I am glad I found your blog, too. Feel free to drop me a line if you want to more about acupuncture school.

  2. Yay friend! I’m glad I found your blog (through your wonderful etsy shop). I will pop by from time to time. Reading your posts and seeing the world through your pictures makes me feel we are a little bit closer (geographically speaking).
Maybe in a few years my Rob and I will join you down there.
All the best, and congrats on your studies!
    with love,

    1. Yay friend back at you, Natalie! I am also glad you found me and left such a sweet comment. The interwebs can makes us feel closer in a weird way, so I say let us use it to our advantage. xoxo
